I hail from the Green Mountains of Vermont. I have loved myths and fairy tales from the time I was young. One of my earliest childhood memories is of reading the tale of the twelve dancing princesses from the Brothers Grimm until the pages were worn and dog-eared. From there, a love of fantasy books and games followed.

My writing explores all things magical, otherworldly, and anything-but-mundane, as well as the complexities of emotion and behavior (the product of a psychology education and a love of character-driven stories!).

When not writing, I can usually be found caring for my menagerie of animals, bookbinding, spending time with my garden, searching for mushrooms, or swimming. Oh, and I'll never turn down tiramisu.
