I hail from the Green Mountains of Vermont. I have loved myths and fairy tales from the time I was young. One of my earliest childhood memories is of reading the tale of the twelve dancing princesses from the Brothers Grimm until the pages were worn and creased. From there, a love of fantasy books and games followed.

My writing explores all things magical, otherworldly, and anything-but-mundane, as well as the complexities of emotion and behavior (the product of a psychology education and a love of character-driven stories!).

When not writing, I can usually be found caring for my menagerie of animals, bookbinding, spending time with my garden, searching for mushrooms, or swimming. Oh, and I'll never turn down tiramisu!
